We all fill affidavits but do we really know what is affidavit, why it is required or when to use it. Let’s learn more about it.
What is Affidavit?
The standard definition is “A written statement of facts voluntarily made by an affiant under an oath or affirmation administered by a person authorized to do so by law.”
Why is Affidavit required?
Oral or spoken confirmations cannot be used for legal or government related procedures. That is why affidavit is required. It represents fact you rely on for your case.
You can make your own template for affidavit but it is recommended that you should get the template / blank form from the official source. Nowadays you will find such templates online or respective government, college , universities website.
